Ah nostalgia. Because of a conversation at work I had this sudden desire, no not desire, NEED to see the original Batman film. I probably hadn't seen this film in at least a couple of years, if not more. Jack Nicholson is brilliant as the Joker, and of course, everyone knows that. The last time I saw this movie I think it was still with the eyes of a kid, and last night my adult self (well as adult as I tend to get at least) watched it, with new eyes. And I was blown away yet again. Its hard to believe the film is almost 20 years old, and its also hard to believe that such a great comic book movie like that was made, and its been only recently that comic book movies have really taken off. I loved the last flick, Batman Begins, but Micheal Keaton is still the best Batman, and most likely always will be.
I picked up Xenosaga 2 the other day after having set it down a few months ago, and I began playing it again. Such a great series! I'm now almost done with part 2, and I bought part 3 awhile ago so I'll be ready to go again immediately.
My sister, the youngest one, will be graduating high school this year, and I'm damn proud of her. She didn't breeze through school like my other sister and I did. But she's worked hard, and busted her ass to make sure she walks come June. And that means I get to be there! Yay! Its always nice coming home and seeing everyone, especially when you live 2200 miles from your nearest family member. So I'm a little excited about it, and really, damn proud of her, even more so that I was when my other sister graduated 3 years ago. Man I'm getting old!
Happy free comic book day this Saturday! And hooray for new comics, Marvel just dropped a payload this week that I want in on. Seriously they've got like six new comics this week that are titles I follow. Compared to the last couple of week's where its been one or two, this is gonna be a costly week. But alas such is the price of awesome comic nerd status. And my old comic supplier and good friend Steve starts work today with me, though in a different department. It'll be good to see him again regardless, almost like he never left. Can't wait for World War Hulk! That begins this week in fact with the prelude! So stoked! And Spiderman 3! Wow this week sounds better and better by the day.
