The great LAN adventure!
So I'm not at home, haven't been since Tuesday. I packed up the nerd essentials (Guitar Hero 1 & 2, PS2, Sonic Mega Collection, the DS, and the computer) and headed off to Harley's. As of end of day 1 he and I had managed to stay up until 6:30 AM, get in some games of Puzzle Quest (we were tied at 2-2 for our head to head matches), and set up the network.
The fools playing FEAR multiplayer had no idea what was coming for them. And it was Marqus and IronMog coming for them FYI. The Penetrator got a workout that night.
As it turns out the prospects for a full fledged LAN extravaganza have dwindled to only a few of us here playing some games, but that has done nothing to kill our spirit for fun and nerd celebration.
And the game, Cooking Mama, for the DS is so much fun it needs to come with a warning label against possible joy overload. Who would have thought, the simple act of cooking turned into an addictive handheld.
Now for the horrible oversight I made last time, last Sunday I made my way to Wal-Mart and as I was making it to the cashier I noticed she was one very cute girl indeed. Her name was Lindsay, and she had the cutest freckles, glasses, brown hair with blondish highlights, and a pierced nose. I was just smitten from first glance, and she was very friendly, but being my normal shy quiet guy self I didn't say anything, just smiled politely and went on my way. I'll probably never see her again, much to my regret, because hey who knows what might have happened if I had just said hi.
If I ever do see her again it could be some nudge of fate, and I might just go ahead and let that nudge guide me. But by then would it be too late? Trying to live life without regrets. Carpe Occasio as they say.
Back to the LAN goodness. Hopefully this depression funk I stepped into doesn't ruin what might just be a kick ass weekend.
