I hope your inebriated state was fun and omitted from your mind.
Actually, I never made it to the Onyx either. Get this shit, I was on my way out of no-mans-land, when I came over a hill, suddenly hit a massive piece of ice, saw a figure of a man in the middle of the road (will explain in a min), swerved and slid right in to the ditch. Now, it didn't snow on Saturday; thus the Elbert county road people were not thinking of taking care of ice formed by blowing snow.
When I got out of my car, I found it to be in a nice wedge with the ditch. I also realized that the cars "going" in the opposite direction, about seven of them, were stuck on the ice; unable to get any traction to make it up the hill. Hence, the man in the middle of the road was trying to put chains on his car.
Someone called road patrol who came to shut down the road. I had to wait for the sanders to come before someone could pull me out, otherwise they would have had no traction.
Anyway, this all took 3 hours. And in the end I just didn't feel like driving into Denver. I told my friend to go without me since it was the last night of the Onyx, but she didn't. Oh-well, at least I have the pleasure of knowing that the last time I was there was a good time. Who knows the last night could of sucked and I'd be left with this bad last memory.
I should at least try the new Saturday night at Club 314 (old onyx). I heard that those nights are going to be sponsored by Afterdarkk entertainment (Christiaan Howard, if you know who he is). Or, I'm just going to end up at Rock Island for their goth night on Sunday....thats such a bad day of the week though...
Hope all is well,
