white picket fence here i come....
father in law and i made me a work bench yesterday. it is a manly thing...big heavy...would make a good bar too... now i have to find reason to buy tools so i can hide in the garage for hours on end....well i have a reason, it because i don't have all the tools that i might someday need...more on that later
so family matters...
i realise my brother in law is a very bad salesman and a dreadful queen (sounds like a band name don't it) but what do you expect. don't get me wrong he's a nice enough guy, but what a whiney bitch. if i didn't think he would get turned on by it i'd have steve hunt him down and beat his ass... but steve has better things to do with his time (just ask him)
as for sam's father (the biological one, not my father in law, two different, very different men) we had lunch the three of us. it went rather well. he was exactly what i thought him to be. a farmer boy from the south, who has lived in his own littel corner of the world for all the years that he has been alive. know i understand that somethings in this world were hard for him (knowing my mother in law i can understand way they didn't work out. they two very different people. my mother in law having left the south and never looking back. bill was a nice guy and i can't fault him for who he is. where as my brother in law tried to sell me on the family, well at least on his place and history of the family. bill was nice enough to accept me for the the fact that i love his daughter more then anything else in world. we could see eye to eye being that we are both of the old school world of respecting people. it was how both of us were brought up. him in the south 50 years ago and me in the north with my "leave it to beaver" mother in the 70's.
so all is well here. last monday we went to the doc's for the 30 week checkup. sophie is fine. wigling away in there, bidding her time, wanting for her lungs to grow more. all is well. sam's asleep and steve gets here thursday. my world is good.
