aah the much maligned mascot.
firstly the mighty duck of anaheim. next season the duck will no longer be mighty, now that they are no longer owned by abc/ disney, the movie reference is unwarranted. so what's next for the not so mighty ducks?
at least teemu sealane is working out. sometimes i wonder why he ever left? he scored his 1000th point the other night, but what else of the team that made it to the stanley cup playoffs a couple seasons ago? are we still going to get "giggy" with the goalie jean-sebastion giguere? even though i now live out west, without espn covering hockey and reliable national coverage, due to the american media's dislike for a true sport such as hockey (no controversy you see) it's hard for the mediua of america to cover such a skill orintated sport. such a shame. but i digress. the last season the nhl played you could sit there on any given night and what espn news of sports center and get good coverage. national coverage and in depth reporting about all the teams. now it's mostly east coast. and yes atlanta is having a tough run at things (but that's another report)
go whalers!
