Tradgidy asked me to construct a poem for her. Something about her name really struck me... her username that is... this is my perception of Tragedy... I hope you enjoy...

Tragedy - Joseph Hughes
Tragedy, the heaviest of words,
and even a heavier story to breathe.
A hero, an opposition,
A destiny, a decision.
Sorrowful and disastrous,
The ever-longing pain,
Only begin to describe.
that which tragedy inscribes.
And to comedy, and drama all,
Tragedy laughs and shakes its head.
"You do not know life as I do."
"While you play your parts of life,
I gather it as a whole."
"While you leave out struggle,
And pain, misfortune, calamity,
Pity, terror, conflict and danger.
I bar none of these things."
Tragedy is real... and permanent.
"While you jest and fall in love,
I eternally bleed to you truth.
Love and laughter bear no place,
In the being that I am."
"Though you may rise to greatness.
Or may be weary to heed my call.
It is your destiny to face me,
None can rise and not fall"
So build your men!
And build them strong!
But their downfall is imminent,
Altogether throng.
Please comment... it took me 10 minutes to write this. Somehow it just all fell together.
