Had a great time at Comicon this weekend!
I got to meet some of the lads from the site for the first time, which was grand, however brief it was. Check out the thread at SGDFW for pics.
I was able to spark the interests of several publishers for Nowhere Road and am sending of the script tonight. I also talked to some people who might be interested in doing some art for me for a new project I am working on right now (details to come).
However, something that struck me particularly strongly today and that was radio. I never listen to the thing, so I have no presets, but driving home from CON, the iPod gave out. So I flipped on the radio and the first thing I hear is "...those who support homosexual actions or the homosexual agenda...Their end goal is not equality, but the silencing of all decent." wow. I won't even try to react verbally to that.
My mother got her hands on a copy of my play that was intended for my brother(s). Surprise, surprise, she was not a fan. "It's so sad. People won't want to go see it twice and you use the F word way too much... And suicide is never an option. I think it is irresponsible for you to suggest otherwise."
(way too personal back story):
