So, wow, what a night last night. For those of you who arent aware, I work for a rock radio station in Boston, I do mainly promotions for them, street team if you will, go to bers, concerts, the beach give away shit, talk up the station blh blah blah. so last night i was scheduled to work the dropkick murphys cd listening party...i didnt know what to expect, was it just gonna be us there to be seen or what, well i find out that this is an invite only event friends of the bands and the three rock stations in boston. my buddies wheeler and bubu came because i put them on the list to get it so i am waioting outside for them, they are late, they show up, we go in, and the person checking names at the door is comeone we see at shows and parties all the time, he goes "i came for the open bar, but got stuck checking names" "...open bar?..." "yea, you didnt know that?" no we did not, so we proceed to get our drink on, coutesy of epitaph records, dkm is sittin right there, the new disc is plaing (it is awesome i might add) ken kasey proceeds to get on mic and says "well the bar is just about to close the tab so if anybody wants to go over the fenway park (the bar we were in is on the corner of lansdowne and brookline aka the corner of fenway) you can join us in the budweiser section and we will have open bar for you over there until 830" so we proceed to go over the fenway park, and drink even more, somehow i ended up with a world series ring on my finger and scruffy (piper of dkm) sitting with us shootin the shit, un freeking believeable ...
