I was offered a new job today. It's not at a new place, just a different job in the maintenance department at TRA. Ed, a guy I see from time to time when I'm working over time, pulled me aside today and asked, "Are you happy in grounds/automotive?". I didn't know what to make of this so I say, "Sure". Then he asked me if I wanna come work in his department. I told him it's worth talking about, but that I wasn't sure what I wanted to do yet. If I switched I'd be working on the pumps and stuff in the gravity thickeners [I'd explian what they do but it would gross you out]. In the long run I would get better pay in this division because they get better raises, the work would be alittle grosser, but alittle easier, the hours and OT would be the same. I'm leaning more towards staying where I'm at for the time being, but it's nice to be wanted.
The weather has been wonderful the past three days. Alittle taste of Fall. I cannot wait until Fall really gets here. Especially since I'm going home for alittle while in November...hopefully I'll make it in time to still see some of the leaves changing, but they will probably all be dead by the end of November. And then this winter I want to get a cabin in the Smoky Mountians for a week. It's so beautiful in east Tennessee in the fall and winter. I'm definitely moving back east before too long. The heat and the scenery just aren't as nice here in Texas [no offense to all ya'll Texans...it's just not my bag]
