Lalala.
So...Bush again then.
Four years sounds like a very long time.
I know I'm not American but it still affects us over here. It's easy to imagine that Bush might one day do something dumb like accidentally put his coffee mug down on a big red button and blow a hole in Europe. It kind of felt like, on election day, the fate of the world was put in the hands of the American people and the American people just totally and utterly let us down. I kinda feel like we should have been allowed to vote too. Actually, no, give the vote to the people of Iraq. They're practically being ruled by America right now (not to mention being shot to pieces by them on a daily basis).
But seriously. What went on Tuesday anyway? All I've heard through the mass media for the last four years is people saying 'Get Bush Out' - through music, film, television...etc etc. Yet he still wins, probably because all the hillbillies living in deepest Alabama and places think he's wonderful. God knows why, but when I was over there in April, I watched some news channels and oh my god, those stations are so biased...there was nothing about anything going on outside America, nothing about Iraq or anything...and it was all the BBC in Britain was broadcasting at the time. So that's probably why..middle America gets told that Bush is doing wonderful things against the (non-existent) war on terror, and they don't know any different.
*Sigh*
Ah well. Everyone is now parroting 'Hilary Clinton...2008'. Which will be a good thing I guess.
Oh yeah, and we brits get our general election next year don't we?
