Sorry everyone for not getting to your journals, this has been a hell of a week. I'll let you in on a little bit of it. Warning, this is not one of my funny stories!
I have been in a legal battle for awhile over my business involving some idiot customers and some unhappy competitors. Well, all of that ended this week with the judge giving them a big "fuck you" from me. Yes, I won. In fact, not only did I win, but the judge came dangerously close to calling the 2 parties suing me complete and total idiots for getting into a business arangement without reading their very simple and plain english contract. So with the wonderful scent of victory in the air I proudly came home and started making plans to further my company (something that I was restricted from doing because of the law suit), but that was short lived. Unfortunately, the cost of the legal battle has put me and my company just a very small step away from complete and total bankruptcy. So, after speaking with my accountant and making final payment to my victorious but expensive legal team, I am officially out of money and dead broke (thank god I bought a 1 year membership here) and my company is officially out of business. Don't you just love the legal system in America?
After many years of running a very successful business and at one point providing jobs for 50+ people, I very humbly walked into the Holiday Inn Express (the only place hiring in my town) and filled out an application for any job available. Even though I have lost almost everything I own, I feel like a great weight has been lifted, I'm enjoying the humility of having to start over, and oddly enough I am excited to do it all over again (minus the the damn lawsuits). I have already started to make arrangements to start another company and have retained a company to handle all of the financing for it. Anyways, it feels good just to get the whole story out. Thanks SG land for listening.

For a long time I envied the non-win no-fee system in America, but now that we have it, people are starting to sue over stupid things with little cause.
Good luck with your new company.
