Saw Nightwish in Bradford last night. They were fantastic - best gig I've been to in a while. Kind of gives me a few ideas as well - perhaps Scandinavian-influenced metal is the way forward....?

We REALLY need to start getting more gigs like this in the UK....

After today, I shall have no good sport to watch on TV for a while.... Does this mean I'm actually going to have to go out of the house?!

Roll on 15th August! smile

Got a bit of down-time from gigging at the moment - at least it means I'm not hairing up and down the motorways of the country like a headless chicken! Also it's...

I think perhaps that have been burning the candle at both ends and quite possibly in the middle as well....

Trying to do a day job AND be in two bands AND trying to have a normal social life as well is finally taking its toll. Or perhaps it's just me - I am getting on a bit after all! wink

Had a cool gig in...

I'll send you an e-mail when the dates are confimed but it's looking like the 6th of November or the 27th November. I also know someone who might be able to arrange a gig for you the night before. Also, don't worry too much about somewhere to stay coz as long as you don't mind doubling up or sleeping on floors, there will be plently of room for you to stay and mine and Wrathchild's.
morticiajet:
just checking if u have sent the demo yet?
i'll be finalising everything tomorro if u have so u'll get an e-mail off me sunday

Another big gig last Sunday - an all-dayer in Manchester that I co-promoted, publicised, and performed in with two bands! eeek

Who said I didn't have a masochistic streak? smile

Also, I was at the venue for the total of twelve and a half hours and got home at 2am on Monday morning.... to get up for work at 7am. Urgh.

Anyhow, it's only rock and roll,...

Hello! It's Laura (annoying girl from Imperial who was trying to sort a gig with you!).

Creepy that you joined SG as well...it's definately a small world. You should go see Wrathchild as he's also a fan of Liquid Sky!
wrathchild:
Hello there!! Didn't know you were here!! I saw LS with Emily about a few times a few times last year (or before?), I was friends with Audie's cousin Scott.

BTW, do you guys need a roadie/tech? I'm a trained sound engineer and i'm always looking out for any experience I can get.

Goddamn, I'm tired.

Zzzzzzzzz....

Spent last weekend in France and got very tanned. Does wonders for the rock 'n' roll image, but not so good for the gothic look! wink

Anyhoo - looking forward to seeing some of the UK SG's at some of our forthcoming gigs. Give me a shout if you're there; I should be wearing my SG Army t-shirt....

Later.

smile
daisie:
I should be at the stoke gig if all goes well, it's my mates birthday so it depends what his plans are etc so hopefully *fingers crossed* smile

Cool - try and round up some people. It's always nice for us to have some "home" support when we play! smile

Played in Leeds last night. Stepped in to headline at the last minute. Great venue (The Cockpit) - should be back again there on a Saturday night soon....

Unfortunately, I'm now knackered. Driving to Leeds at 2pm, load in, sound-check, hang around for 3 hours, play, pack up, 90 minute drive home.... zzzzzzzzzzzz! whatever

We need roadies! (Any volunteers?) wink

For all you lovely SG's out there...

Yeah, well, this is me folks!

Heard about SG a while back; saw the Probot video and thought is was very cool; then met up with an SG hopeful from the UK MorticiaJet at one of my band's gigs and decided to give the whole site a whirl....

Goddamn - this site's cool....

Today: I am running around like a headless chicken trying to fit...
