I took the GRE today and did not do as well as I had hoped. I'm not a dumb guy. I just do better when I have access to research materials. I'll probably get a 5.5 or 6 on the writing portion. One thing I can always count on is inexplicable praise for my writing.

I'm forging ahead with my grad school applications, despite the disheartening result of today. Still, I find myself approaching a crossroads, which is usually where you meet the Devil.
