What's your favorite anime?
"This question is a bit hard because there are many animes that I like, both old and new, but if I have to shorten the list, I will name the ones that marked me.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The first time I watched it I was very young and many of the scenes were very scary for me, but it had something that it kept me watching it even if I had to cover my eyes from time to time, hahaha. As a teenager I watched it twice and in that magic moment I was able to understand the great plot, subplots, the objectives of each character... I was enchanted with the world created by Hideaki Anno.
Cobwoy Bebop: The soundtrack of this anime! It's the panacea!! Those Jazz notes, the drums... Incredible! And the plot has no waste! Super recommended if you like Space Operas.
Sailor Moon: This anime has something that very few had in its time, diversity. It approached diversity in such a natural way that any boy or girl, any person could identify with the characters. It's something that fascinated me since I was a child and to this day I still think that they couldn't have made a better anime, it was ahead of its time."
What was your first anime?
"Sorry if I have to repeat myself, but Neon Genesis Evangelion and Sailor Moon were my first contact with Japanese animation, with that huge world that I didn't know where it was going to take me, what places I would visit, what surprises it would cause me.
Today I still like them and thanks to my work (and adulthood, lol) I have been able to get many special editions, figures, mangas, it has become a hobby for me, something I am very proud of.
I never stop recommending these animes, I'm going to be 80 years old and to anyone who asks me about a classic, I'm going to say, watch Neon Genesis Evangelion and Sailor Moon, your mind will go on a journey of no return."
Who are your favorite characters?
"The first that comes to mind is Asuka Langley... ASUKA!! It's her, it's always her in the anime, she never stops being her. She has a super special personality that in my opinion is one of the most outstanding in the anime. She is so spontaneous! I adore her! I think anyone would fall at her feet."
What's your favorite song from an anime?
"I have two that I can't stop listening to: DUVET by Boa from the anime Serial Experiments Lain and Tank! by Seatbelts from Cowboy Bebop. Sometimes I have them on loop, hahaha.
And Hiroyuki Sawano (Shingeki no Kyojin), you are GOD!!!"
If you could live in any anime world, what world would you choose?
"The Pokemon World!!! I don't have to think it twice!! I love Pokemon! I want to be a Pokemon Master, sleep on top of a chubby Snorlax and fly on a Pidgeot so I can tour the entire Kanto region. And catch a Magikarp and then surf and meet some Starmie on the way. I also want a Psyduck"
