I do not mind the rain, I actually quite like it.
Sometimes though, like today, the rain can put a serious damper on the day.
I'm trying to finalize a major project for work, mother nature is not cooperating.

Can somebody please ask her to come back next week?

I don't usually like the rain unless it's at night. There's something very soothing about it.
intensify:
there is nothing better than a late night thunderstorm to help put me to sleep.
we have a skylight in our bathroom that the rain pounds at it like a drum; so relaxing to just drift away.
