If I am 100% destined to fail my History class (how depressing!), have absolutely no chance whatsoever of passing it , and am already signed up to re-take the class in maymester (which begins about a week after spring semester ends)....
...Should I even bother showing up for the exam?
Now i know that must seem irresponsible or lazy on my part but, think about it: Taking an exam in a class where even if i got a decent grade on it... would still fail... what is the point?
If i choose to not take the history exam, that is more time i can focus on studying for my Sociology final. The only other one i have next week.
Also, since i am re-taking the course shortly after the end of spring semester... it is only a temporary dip in GPA that would be restored once i pass the class in Maymester.
Is my justification too extreme, or do I make sense?
All advice welcome.

well that makes a difference, id say approach your tutor, eplain the situation and see what they say, chances are they may make an allowance for you to not sit the exam if your already down to resit anyway, thus allowing you time to concentrate on subjects where exams will make a difference in whether or not you pass. either way good luck
