So I went to Barnes and Nobel yesterday night, decided to get out of the house and try and stay sane. The only way to calm myself is reading poetry, and or writing my own. Mostly about love, life, etc. I have allot of favorite poems, or writers, I just sat there on the floor reading through many different books, a few I wrote down in my notebook. This one is great. It shows that actions speak louder then words. I am a hopeless romantic.
"Pocket Poem"
By Ted Kooser
If this comes creased and creased again soiled as if I'd opened it a thousand times to see if what I'd written here was right, It's all because I looked too long for you to put it in your pocket. Midnight says the little gifts of loneliness come wrapped by nervous fingers. What I wanted this to say was that I want to be so close that when you find it, it is warm from me.
Sigh... I long to find me a pocket poem to be so close a second apart is too long..
