I am so sick of the commotion surrounding Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles's plans to wed. Two people in love should get married; what right does anyone in this country think they have to tell them, no, in fact DEMAND otherwise?! I can't believe that we, as a nation renowned for our binge-drinking, adulterous, football hooligan, chav culture can suddenly feel the need to take the moral highground! And over something that will probably have very little or no affect on our lives...i'm mystified.

I know that people are upset because of what happened to princess Diana, and yes of course it was sad that she died so young. But, that was 7 and a half years ago...jesus! People are saying "It's too soon". Too soon?! He's been in love with Camilla for 35 fucking years, and he only married Diana out of obligation. It was an unhappy marriage for them both, and 'shock horror!' Diana (although commonly portrayed as 'little miss perfect') was far from angelic! She had numerous affairs throughout the time they were married.

I know that Charles was adulterous, but he only had eyes for one woman; Camilla, and anyone with their eyes open could see this! Anyway, Charles and Diana were divorced 2 years prior to her death, so that makes it around 9 years since they split up-how the hell can this be 'too soon'? I bet that about 75% of the people who are currently moaning about this wouldn't think twice before finding someone else as soon as a year after their divorce, maybe even less.

As for William and Harry, it was reported quite clearly that they were happy with their father's choice. If they are happy, why can't we be? It seems that the entire nation is doing everything it can to sadden what should be a romantic and happy day for Charles and Camilla. I don't see what we have left to argue about with regards to them. It's been stated that she won't become Queen, nor Princess of Wales. They won't be able to marry in church and it will be a low-key affair (by Royal standards anyway) so what the hell are we complaining about? LET HIM BE HAPPY!

The Queen herself had to give permission before they could proceed with getting married...I have heard NOBODY openly critisising her about that decision, so why are they having a go at Charles? I know he doesn't really 'fit' with the rest of our Royal Family. I mean for instance he actually contributes to society-isn't that just terrible? confused

He does a hell of a lot of charity work, he even runs his own business meaning he has his own income and the taxpayers don't have to subsidise everything that he does. I just can't see what the fuss is about.

It would seem that we in Britain just aren't happy unless we have something to moan about.

Don't even get me started on the uproar surrounding Ken Livingstone!!
