innocence

Sleeping recently has been a complete nightmare. Although last night was better (I actually managed around 8 hours) i'm still not getting as much as I should...I can't function on less than 8-9 hours a night! When I get settled down in to bed I become almost instantly paranoid that someone will try to break in to the house. I don't know why I should think this as crime isn't exactly rife around here, and I've started leaving the hall light and radio on all night to make me feel 'safer'...you'd have to be a pretty stupid criminal to try and break in to a well-lit house with noise emitting from it! Think it's something to do with the fact that there are only 2 of us here at the moment (it being a student house and the summer holidays) and although the area isn't THAT rough, it is pretty bad and there are several white tracksuit-clad drunken gangs around.
Anyway, on the up side i've just bought a copy of 'A Child Called It' by Dave Pelzer which should make for interesting reading. I also think I may have lost some weight-yay! I'm not overweight...but I do feel a bit sluggish and heavy as i'm only short!
Must try and get a pic up on here, but i'm going on holiday on Saturday, first to see parents and dog and cat-sit for a week, and then on to the east coast for a week's holiday, so a picture will have to wait until I get back!
