In short, the wedding was fun. I don't get to see my extended family that much, and they've become way more tolerable now that I can drink with them. My brother and his wife certainly know how to pick a really great location for the wedding (shores of Lake Tahoe). I busted my ass and got the schoolwork done, so now I just have to work for next week's deadlines.
In other news, a fun prank behind the spoiler.
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
My friend (let's call her Olly) has decided to play a prank on her fiancee (Tony). First, a little background. For 2 years, Tony pretended that he was seriously, acutely afraid of 'little people' (dwarfs, midgets, anyone with a genetic condition predisposing them towards significantly lower size). He never was, but kept it up for no real reason for 2 years.
After revealing the joke, Olly tries to convince Tony that she knew a guy named Josh Birdman in college, after watching some interview on TV with a guy named Fred Batman or something like that. Naturally, he's on to her, making all this stuff up. Olly admits she's lying to Tony, but the next week, Olly and I convince another mutual friend of ours (let's call him Mike) to go into the store where Tony works and strike up a conversation, claiming that he went to college with Olly and that his name is Josh Birdman. Well, it worked, and Tony was completely fooled.
Even better, over the next few weeks, Olly and I convinced a series of our other coworkers and mutual friends who don't know Tony to go into his store, claiming to be, in order: Kathy Greene-Lantern, Bill Spidderman, Sven VunderVooman, Costas N. Cyclops, and Sally Doom, MD (Dr. Doom). All of this will end when these people come into the store where Tony works and have a superhero last name battle royale. I can't wait to see it.
I still haven't seen the new Batman movie.
Once you can sit and drink with family, you are pretty much golden.
