Thanks for the kind wishes, everyone. I think the interview went well. Since the hiring manager's in Switzerland right now (our company was purchased by a certain pharmaceuticals giant that will remain nameless), I'm guessing I won't hear back for a little while until he catches up with his stuff, but I can wait.
School starts a week from Monday, and I really am getting a little nervous about the lack of information from my online classes. The good news is that my new grad advisor seems pretty cool, and I'm about a week ahead on the work he's asked me to do towards my new grad project (not quite a thesis, but a little more than a paper).
I have a laptop that's all messed up, aka: it's a Vista machine. I want to upgrade it to XP (SP2 or SP3), except that this machine was bought as a "Vista-ready" laptop (which is a joke that I might discuss another time). I'd just reformat the HD and install XP myself, except that I'm not 100% on the device drivers. I understand they're pretty vastly different between Vista and XP. Anyone know anything about folks that do this upgrade cheap?
Finally, I'm building a solar oven. I'm pretty excited about it, since one natural resource Tucson's got a ton of is solar. The construction's pretty easy; I might do more with it today.

aldremech:
Funny you should mention that, I just passe by a place on Camino Seco called Advantage Computers. They have a huge sign on the building that says we remove Vista and install XP. Don't know how much though.
