I applied for the job, but no word yet. Likely, they're looking for someone slightly more qualified than me. Which could be worse. While I'm not actively looking for a new job, the feeling of "I'm not going to go anywhere in the one I've got" is less-than-encouraging.
And that's enough job-whining for a while. Other than that, things are pretty good. I'll likely be in Austin for Thanksgiving, and maybe back up to Seattle with my folks for Xmas. I'm thinking of going to Sicily for 2 weeks in the new year (starting on Jan 1). My dad's excited-ancestral homeland and all that-but we'll see how things work out. I've never really been to Europe too much (well, ok, a week in Florence 4 years ago and that's all), so I'm excited. Part of the reason I want to move to England is to see more of the world than my little Southwesterny corner here. Which reminds me, Mexico was fun but full of annoying college students and drunken bikers.
