And speaking of vector-borne illness, Tucson just had its first confirmed case of West Nile Virus about 4 square blocks from my home. I'm staying away from mosquitos. And the outdoors. Mostly the outdoors because it's fucking hot.
This malaria thing has got me thinking-Maya's been having headaches and just feeling nasty the past 2 weeks. I don't feel too bad, although I've just been feeling run-down lately (although I've been getting high a LOT more frequently than usual). I know my father and at least one of my brothers has the gene for sickle-cell anemia, so maybe I'm sort of protected. Those of us with Mediterranean blood (particularly we Sicilians) are possibly more adapted to the malaria thing.
In other news, I pre-ordered BioShock. I'm very, very excited about this game, although not as much as I am about Left 4 Dead.

So, do you read National Geographic as well?
And hello. I'm Cait. It's nice to (sort of) meet you.
