At a party about a week ago, I got pretty sauced and dropped my camera. I hear cries of "BALDERDASH!" from the mezzanine, but it's true... sometimes I drink. Sometimes I drink heavily, and things break.
Later that same evening, the LCD screen started hiccuping. Coughing up static and taking on a strange, psychadelic color scheme. Ultimately, it went completely white and unresponsive. I managed to fix it by hooking it up to Desiree's Mac (Apple saves the day?), and didn't have any problems with it for the rest of the night.
Thursday afternoon, the symptoms reappeared. I figured the LCD was dying.
Then, get this - I dropped it again. Stretching my arm over the porch rail to take a picture of the cat, I slipped and it fell to the deck.
Works fine now.

I just got an e-mail from her that made my cheeks flush. She read my writing sample and e-mailed my English Department Academic Advisor requesting that I be added to an already full workshop. With that and a decent chance at a seat in one of the poetry workshops (or maybe the creative nonfiction workshop that just opened up), I should be able to graduate in the spring.
After that, it's back to London or on to parts unknown.

UMM BUT I'm all wet in the panties about this workshop - congratulations on that. from what I've seen, it's well deserved.
balderdash is among my favorite exclamations. I think I'm going to say it to the next person I see.
"balderdash" + "mezzanine" in the same paragraph = one happy krysten.
yow.
