My bed is practically yelling at me to get in and crash. Might take it up on it's advise! wink

SG ball is fast approaching and i have not finalised a costume. shocked

Think i have narrowed it down to the following: Dexter, Devil, CSI Agent, a costume with a straight jacket.

Not sure which i can pull off the best... And a straight jacket will be hard to come by... Don't have the time or nouse to make one. Don't think Japanese rope will cut...

Hey all...

So with high hopes of having a strong re-start to this blog thing,.. I ran into a speed bump. frown

I am currently residing with my parents on the Gold Coast. And thankfully they have faster internet than my sister. Which was dial-up. ...and here comes the speed bump, the clincher if you will... they have wireless, which is on the border of the...

That's definitely how alcoholism works, it comes in so many different forms, I think two bottles is okay, though probably higher than her norm, it might not be an addiction yet, which is the most important thing. That said, alcoholics (of whom, through family and relatoinships I've been personal vicitim to, as presumable observable) are generally drinking to quiet their minds. They reach a certain threshold and search for a coping method to remove the vicious thoughts in their head. Your mum's drinking might not be such a bad thing in this highly stressful situation, we all need something to help us through the night.

My advice is, if she's not talking about it, make her laugh, offer her stories, give her something *else* to take her mind off it. Get to know her again.

Other than my second piece of advice is, don't let your own feelings get pushed aside by theirs. Make sure you're taken into account.

I'm really sorry to hear about you dad, I hope you're holding up okay.

love and *hugs*
