GAWD girls are jealous and catty. Lately, my boyfriend's exwife has been making smart ass comments about me. It's obvious she is jealous of me and wants him back, but he doesn't see it. He was the perfect husband and SHE left HIM. She moved him and the kids to Virginia because she fell in love with someone there. She took them there so she could abandon them! She told him that later!! Can you believe that shit?!?!
She left for a year. No calls. No letters. No money. When she came back, she had her grandfather (his money) and the police in tow. She took the kids, turned everything around on him, and left him to file bankruptcy. He has to FIGHT to see his kids now while she gets pissy because he was late for the second time in THREE YEARS on his child support payments. I'm telling you this drives me batty. He thinks I'll leave him over it, but I would never do that.
She went off on him on the phone yesterday and played the "you can't see the kids" game. The oldest boy freaked out and demanded to talk to his daddy immediately. You know what he said? "Daddy.. why did mommy say I can't come over tomorrow?? Why is she yelling at you again??"
THAT'S FUCKING SAD. I don't care who you are or what your fucking deal is -- DO NOT -- EVER -- HURT AN INNOCENT CHILD OVER YOUR BULLSHIT.
There are a LOT of deadbeat dads out there. I know this. However, my boyfriend is NOT one of them. He's so wonderful to his boys and they just love him to pieces. They love coming over. I just don't understand why she's doing this to him. I don't understand why she has to make everything dramatic and difficult. He pays MORE than enough child support and A) Hardly gets to see them, B) Hardly gets to talk to them on the phone, C) She does not consult him on anything like school, doctor's visits, or activities, and D) She threatens him with jail everytime he says something she doesn't like.
I'm serious, you guys. Some people are just fucking cruel.

Seriously though, I just didn't feel like getting into the politics of science. The effect of technology on society is a very important issue that need to be discussed... but I just didn't have the mental energy for that kind of discussion last night... maybe some other time....
