I'm going home with my dad this weekend. Home is Missouri and where most of my family lives. Trips with my father are always awesome. We always have the most amazing conversations. I'm sure this weekend will be no different. He called me last night to confirm our plans and we ended up talking for over an hour. He admitted that he's been depressed for a long time over my mother's death, but said, "I finally feel like I'm starting to put my life back together." It felt wonderful to hear him say that.
This weekend I'll be able to see my family before I start school. Because I work full time, I always have to take atleast one of my classes on the weekend. Last semester I took a class on Saturday & Sunday, but this year I'm only taking a Sunday class. The rest of them are through the week.
It's been a long & emotional week and it's only Wednesday... Last night I got a message that my niece, Taylor, put her arms through the french door on accident and layed open her WHOLE left forearm. My brother (who I haven't been getting along with) left a message on my phone saying she was asking for me. She's never been hurt badly like that before and it really freaked me the fuck out. I tried to eat dinner last night, but ended up snuggling against Jeremy and crying. She was very lucky to not have any tendon or nerve damage. She can move her hand fine and is in little pain. I'm so thankful she's okay.
You should see the door, though.
