POOF! and The Random Wall of Stink...
From Yesterday
Im trying to be a cheery person In more then one way. I feel a bit bi-polar today in that Im in a good mood (I think) but then again, I dont feel as though Im in a good mood. Maybe its the color Im wearing today Turquoise, thats my power color for the day And in an attempt to be brighter in my daily dress- I recently purchased a handful of tank tops in- Watermelon, Mint, Canary, Lilac, and Orange Sherbet Then- to add insult to injury to myself, I stopped off at the Goodwill in Lowell (post Amboobumpce drop off) and found a six dollar pair of bright red knock-off Chucky-Ts and a skirt I can only describe as zigzag OMG fuchsia, orange, yellow, and red!!! Its like a carnival candy stand took a spin on the tilt-a-whirl, chugged a Coke, and away the party went!!!!
So- I am going to be getting a little health test done soon to be authorized for Amboobumpce ride-alongs I have decided that since my novel is lagging in so called Station Life and In the Back of the Rig Details What better way then to ride along with a crew or two that Im fairly certain I can get along with for 12 hours. I know a few of them will just absolutely get a charge outta bossing my ass around for a dayside shift. It will be hilarious!!! Now- two things might happen. Number one- third rider syndrome where nothing happens ALL DAY LONG Number two- Holy Hell the world is ending!!! Never see quarters- EVER!
I have also come to terms that appearance of any of those stinky bodily fluids (except pee- Im okay with pee) while Im on a ride along- may in fact result in up-chuckie-itis. I dont do good with poo or pukeage Hmm. Note to self- pack Tums, ginger, motion sickness pills, and pray someone cleans out the trash can. Nonetheless- I am geeked! Itll be like getting a day off from work, but not, right? And with any luck- this will provide lots of information, ideas, tweaks all that kind stuff to maybe perk up my muse and help smooth out the roughness of the novel. I am almost positive that whatever happens during my rode along- the day will be fun. Heres optimism for ya
Todays Entry.
On my way down from Oceana yesterday- this is something I forgot to mention in the above blog- I watched something happen that was both gruesome and hilarious. While coming through the construction zone in Muskegon I watched a turkey take off in flight just ahead of me and the semi in front of me Ooh, be careful birdie Careful Oooh- dont bank left No, no, no, no Uh-oh no birdie, dont POOF!!! Brake lights. And suddenly the air was filled with feathers I now know what happens when a turkey gets popped by a semi at 65 MPH! Bet the cab of his truck smelled like Thanksgiving by the time he got to Grand Haven.
To back up a little bit- I must have eaten something not so good yesterday for my body is very unhappy currently. Since bodily fluids and functions were already mentioned... I had to use the restroom while in Oceana- not something I like doing in places unfamiliar. I'd rather make a deposit at a random rest stop- slipping in undetected and leaving just as so, so the next person steps into the wall of stink! Imagine their faces... Or I like doing the business end of the deal at home, in the safety of my own potty where no one but me or unfortunately my Hubby- has to deal with the lingering effects... But I had to do it there at the station... Hopefully the spray of cinnamon apples covered it to a tolerable level... I'm sorry...
Ah. Friday Sunny, 80 degrees, and Friday the end of a somewhat long weekend Im sure there is plenty I could do this weekend, I know for certain well hopefully (weather pending) be helping my lil bro with a massive yard project and the piggy beds sure could use a heavy cleaning Maybe well go to the races (if they have them Saturday night) and Im looking forward to spending whatever amount of time I get to with my hubby. We havent had a lot of time together in recent weeks and maybe someday that all will come to a close, but probably not anytime soon.
Ive been getting these entirely random, excruciating head aches the last few days And I blame them on both my not drinking all that much caffeine (Im not cutting down on purpose, just havent had a lot this week) and also blame goes to that mysterious yellow powder that coats my truck after each time I wash it. Yup- you guessed it- pollen! Damn pollen! Oh how you hurt me, sweet Spring time With your bright sunshine and budding everything youre way of reproducing beauty for next year is making my head throb, my throat sore and scratchy, and my nose is now the top producer of snot and oogies! Why must you punish me so???
My new music fixation is pulsing from the speakers on my 'puter currently... Ryan Farish. He's awesome. My mom turned me onto him, actually. He's the music composer for all the "Local on the 8's" music on the Weather Channel- go figure right? Me and weather! Anyhoo- I highly recommend his stuff to anyone looking for good atmosphere, chill time music. His albums that I have and love thus far are "Selected Works"; "Bloom"; and "From the Sky (Deluxe Version)". Along the lines of his work, there is a group called Amethystium (hang on- gotta check the spelling... YUP! Got it right).
This music has some vocals, not a lot, and a solid smooth beath... It's all very lyrical, gentle music. Good for chilling to in the evening to de-stress, background tunes while reading (or in my case, writing), drinking a glass of wine while watching the stars... All good. If you're sketchy on buying one whole album- here's some songs to get to check out (all available on iTunes):
Ryan Farish- "Oceans of Blue"; "Ancient Dreams"; & "Pacific Wind"
Amethystium- "Autumn Interlude"; "Dreamdance"; & "Elvensong"
But- I better got to totalling up the end of the month in writing and maybe even cast a glance at the novel for a while... Later!!!
