After sitting out all winter Finster is dead. I set the oven timer to 4 hours. Time to try and turn him over and see if he's done.

Finster is my 20 year old pickup truck.biggrin

Yeah, he was done. My side mirror was hanging on by a thread, saved it before it fell off. Needs...

Got some more work done on my tattoo today. As we were talking, my artist told me he was leaving the shop. At least he's not quitting tattooing like my last guy. He's just opening his own place across the river. Two minor drawbacks to this move from my point of view. First, I'm gonna have to pay to park, and second, I'm gonna have...

The only reason I get one now is alimony. I get to write off what I pay my ex, and she has to pay taxes on it.

hahaha, that's awesome. Mrs. Ink sent it to me via Gmail as well.

I love the Pavano part in this one:

I guess I'm long overdue for a new blog...

The weather finally flipped to winter, cold, blustery, but still without snow. And on that happy note, we're dropping everything and heading south for a couple of weeks.

Because we own real estate in Texas and Louisiana, and have never actually been to the properties, this seemed like a great time to go and call it...

This little girl is driving me nuts!!! She wont just sit down and chill out!! I've had to change her bandages more than needed because she wants to jump on the couch or her bed etc. SO frustrating. I am going to call her doc tomorrow and see if she can look at Brookie's leg. The skin that is trying to be reattached looks like its grey to me. I hope its going to stick. That would make for one hell of a scar!! =(

She went to school today after her looooooong weekend. I'm kind of worried about her there. I hope none of the other kids will kick her. You know how some kids can be assholes and all. I got a call from the school telling me that she was hurting. We'll see when she gets home though... =/ Oy.

It's been a running joke at our house. We'll have everyone over for Thanksgiving when I finish the dining room. The punchline is, what year?.

Guess what, I finished. I built the corner cabinets, painted and repainted everything, and had someone install the carpet which had been sitting in a roll for 7 years. I also had never finished the floor in the entryway. So...

I realize how long it's been since I checked in on you and wanted to come by and say hello. How was your Thanksgiving? Sounds like you did a bang up job on the house.

Yay! A testimonial.

That Kringle was demolished by the way. Holy crap are those good. You guys are the best.

I met Oslund (as you'll see in my blog) on Friday. I'm going to see if I can get him to sign a puck or something for you guys because I think we are going to go to a lot more player meet up things.

Oh, and I downloaded Lene Lovich, the Smithereens and Split Endz, and a couple of others.

I need more recommendations when you get the chance.

I made a conscious decision not to vote today. Very rare for me.

The only questions on my ballot were the local school levy. I was absolutely torn. On the one hand I want to support the public schools, and I can afford the higher taxes. On the other hand I have no kids in school here, so why vote to have everyone pay higher...

Pretty much, I think that's what I said on facebook.

Oh, so Kent Patterson, yeah he lived with my buddy and his family (the one who's Dad works for the railroad) for two years.

Trying to work on autographs potentially...he said he could get Patterson for sure, maybe everyone!

HUZZAH!

Yes, you def crack me up lol

Little mutherfuckers!!! Do you know how hard it is to get dried egg off a door? After an hour of scrubbing, I finally gave up and repainted it. On the bright side, I found the original can of paint and it was still good after 10 years. Of course the can was rusted shut. The door looks better than ever. Now all I have to...

Yeah, I won't be able to blog about it this weekend either...since I'm going to visit my girlfriend till Sunday.

Perfect timing really, 3-4 days with her and the Vikes are on a bye.

Although, I'll have to watch the Wild/Canucks game on delay when I get back.
strongbhoy:
Aha, so uploading some pics from my phone to my comp at the moment, do you have an email I can send them too? I can't remember if Mrs. Ink texted me the address or not...I'll have to check.

Oh, and when you two have time -- bands I need to download (I remembered a few I saved on my phone, but the majority you told me I couldn't write down at the time) AND movies I need to see from both of you as you guys were throwing out a ton of different ones.

The trip is half over and the circle of the Bay of Fundy is nearly complete.

Yesterday:

The ride across the bay of fundy was interesting to say the least. Apparently the very outer edges of hurricane Maria were whipping up the bay. The ferry, at times, bobbed around like a cork. My wife decided to stand out on the deck and take pictures and...

Platters of seafood on the east coast...I'm jealous!

She's reeled in boyo, just got her phone number last night, which SHE gave me, WITHOUT me asking, and here I was thinking I'd have to man up and ask for it, just goes to show, yeah, dating has changed but if they really want you (although she's more my type -- will say what she wants more often than not) they give you your number.

She's in the boat for sure, and pumped to meet. E-Harmony actually let me work my magic it seems...the rest I'll message you.

Day 6 of 22 Bangor, Maine. Great train ride up Mt Washington in New Hampshire. One small problem, when we got to the top, visibility was about 40 feet. Nice view!!! The lady in the gift shop said there are only about 60 days per year that are clear, and frankly I didn't really expect to see much. With the wind chill it felt like...

Just got the care package. You guys rock. Perfectly timed with the arrival of my stitched AP jersey (which I got on Ebay for 50 bucks, and 50 bucks stitched in my size you bite their e-hand off haha), and Walleye season tickets.

The weekend is turning out to be pretty good to start off after a bad week.

That Bert pin is really bad ass, from all the stuff you sent it looks like it would take me like 9 days to go through all the stuff they probably have in the store there, and stores around Cooperstown.

Also, the stickers from the places you've been are very cool. I hope you guys are getting some too and putting them on your folder to chronicle how awesome your trip has been.

I have a feeling some of these may end up on my Rock Band guitars to make them look bad ass.

I may frame those postcards and put them on my burgeoning Minnesota sports wall of fame that I didn't get a chance to show you guys. Hopefully one day in my "man cave" I'll be able to have all the big time Minnesotan Athletes or those that played for Minnesota teams that are among my favorites all together. That's the goal anyway.

So far I've only got a few -- Bronko Nagurski (who my Grandpa rates as the best football player of all time. Apparently his handshake was even more insane than Adrian Peterson's), Harmon, Maris and Walter Johnson. Still waiting on finding better pictures of other people.
strongbhoy:
Yeah, that no-Shellfish bit sucks for her.

Remember, if you go for a CFL squad because of Bud Grant it's got to be Winnipeg.

The only two members of both Hall of Fames former Vikes -- Grant and Moon.

I have discovered a universal truth about halls of fame after visiting my fourth one in just over a year. They are overwhelming!!! There is so much information and memorabilia to take in, it boggles the mind. Rock and roll, hockey, football and now baseball were daunting but excellent.

Before I go on, I have to give a shoutout to my buddy StrongBhoy for a...

hahaha, well remember not to shake Adrian Peterson's hand if you meet him, apparently he's like Bruce Smith (who used to be able to crush a fully inflated football with his hands!)

Haven't watched any Twins, I'm staying off ESPN until I see all my sporting events that are still other than one fight, are unspoiled!

I hope you guys make it safe through Vermont and the rest of New England, some of those areas are proper fucked.

Also, naps don't make you old, POWER NAPS are for the strong.
amberetta:
I have never been to a "hall of fame" *sad face*

Here's another Chicago related tidbit from another of my favorite movies.

Hello Chicago, hello!
strongbhoy:
I figured I might have. Probably not the drawn out strategies of it, hence why it's an "operation". Pumped though, hopefully it goes well. I'll let you know Tuesday.

See you guys later (today technically...).

Drive safe!
