Day 6 of 22 Bangor, Maine. Great train ride up Mt Washington in New Hampshire. One small problem, when we got to the top, visibility was about 40 feet. Nice view!!! The lady in the gift shop said there are only about 60 days per year that are clear, and frankly I didn't really expect to see much. With the wind chill it felt like 34F. I knew enough to bring a warm coat.
Tonight is the last night in the US for almost a week. Crossing into Canada in the morning. Time to break out the funny money. Hockey game in Moncton, New Brunswick tomorrow night. Anxious to see what junior hockey is like in Canada. A bunch of first round NHL picks came out of this league this year. I'm guessing it's similar to college here, only the players may start a little younger. Curious to see what they offer foodwise at the arena. Maybe we can score some poutine.
Pics are downloading as I type this. Look for an update soon. I just have to remember how to resize them to SG standards.

The weekend is turning out to be pretty good to start off after a bad week.
That Bert pin is really bad ass, from all the stuff you sent it looks like it would take me like 9 days to go through all the stuff they probably have in the store there, and stores around Cooperstown.
Also, the stickers from the places you've been are very cool. I hope you guys are getting some too and putting them on your folder to chronicle how awesome your trip has been.
I have a feeling some of these may end up on my Rock Band guitars to make them look bad ass.
I may frame those postcards and put them on my burgeoning Minnesota sports wall of fame that I didn't get a chance to show you guys. Hopefully one day in my "man cave" I'll be able to have all the big time Minnesotan Athletes or those that played for Minnesota teams that are among my favorites all together. That's the goal anyway.
So far I've only got a few -- Bronko Nagurski (who my Grandpa rates as the best football player of all time. Apparently his handshake was even more insane than Adrian Peterson's), Harmon, Maris and Walter Johnson. Still waiting on finding better pictures of other people.
Remember, if you go for a CFL squad because of Bud Grant it's got to be Winnipeg.
The only two members of both Hall of Fames former Vikes -- Grant and Moon.
