I got mom's memorial tattoo today. Just a couple of hours work.
There's a topic over in the tattoo group discussing how to deal with pain. Most people say ribs are the worst. One of my tattoos just touches my bottom ribs. I have to admit there was a noticable difference, in spite of my extra padding.
Today's work was left center chest. A few zingers, but mostly easy. I just carry on a conversation with my artist, and the time flies by. I've never taken any kind of pain killer before or after a tattoo.
The same could not be said for the guy getting a full chest piece in the next room. A Vicodin and a half later, we could still hear him complaining. He was just getting the outline done.
Can't wait to "unwrap my present" in the morning. Pics soon.

I've heard ribs were bad - if they're as bad as my center chest one was, then forget it!
I like to take ibuprofen after to take down the swelling and heat, but that's all!
