New post, because the last couple have been insanely whiny. just a couple of things though.
first, started following a couple of environmental websites and blogs that i used to frequent. saw the term
steady state economy, which i had never run across. lead me to another term i hadnt seen before,
jevons paradox. now im trying to find a book i was assigned in college but never read. imagination and thought processes and such are starting to fire again. its amazing how working at jobs you dont care about can sap the life out of you.
i had a conversation with a friend of my roommates, who has an ms from stanford and works for the department of energy. he gave me some very helpful tips about my job search. think ive been underselling myself in my cover letters and not focusing enough on my degree and environmental interest. heres hoping i see job postings where i can put this insight to good use.
applying for jobs, waiting for responses, watching old west wing episodes, reading environmental blogs, playing wow, trying not to spend money. lease ends in six and half weeks. fingers crossed i find something before then.
