On this new years eve, when im sitting in my room playing wow blowing my nose every five minutes with no plans to do anything else, id like to take a minute to reflect on 2010.
hm, lets see. the year started by getting a client at my old job that kicked my ass. that client was taken away and given to another account manager, who later quit because of it. then i lost my job because of an incident so trivial it really doesnt bear repeating (i will say that the person involved was later fired after less than a year on the job). then i spent the next five months sitting around in my room during the hottest summer ever in new york looking for a job. oh yeah, i also rode my ass off, rebuilding strength lost during a winter of not eating due to stress-induced digestive problems. found a job, spent three weeks in san francisco training and driving around northern california.
and here we are. that was fast. it was a shit year. however, like shit years are supposed to go, it started bad but ended reasonably well, with a horizon full of pleasant possibilities. i have a good job, in another month ill finally have health insurance (once again being able to say fuck you to psoriasis and mild depression), and i plan to ride even more this year. should be good times.
enjoy yourself tonight.
