my parents are currently in the middle of writing up their will. my dad just turned 54, so they should be around for at least another 20 years, but they dont want to leave anything to chance. i just had to reply to an email from my mom asking what i wanted, if anything, out of the house. its really a strange thing to have to talk about (or at least it feels strange, i suppose its part of the natural order of things).
i havent yet worked a day at my new job and im already feeling well taken care of. i had a call today discussing travel arrangements for next week to the west coast.
them: so did you have any questions? I just wanted to confirm dates so we could arrange plane tickets.
me: just a couple, more about logistics than anything else. was curious what airline you were going to book so i could look at overweight baggage policies. thinking i might bring my bike out with me.
them: oh dont worry, well get you a hotel by the airport and rent you a car so you can get around.
me: oh, really? thats great. well, i just need to figure out how much my bike will be then.
them: dont worry about it, well cover it.
i didnt expect either of those answers. going back to san francisco feels a little like going home. no, i didnt really make a whole lot of friends there, and times were kinda rough, but the city fit me. with another six months, it would have been amazing. ah well. three weeks to get my fill. very excited right now.
think im finally going to take the plunge and buy a smartphone. settled on the htc incredible. my contract is up and i dont feel like waiting for the verizon iphone (if thats more than just rumors). ill stop by a verizon dealer tomorrow i think.
michigan state is off to their best start since 1966. for the first time i can remember, its actually good to be a spartan football fan.
night.
