went for a ride yesterday, late in the afternoon. one of the things i hate most about new york is the humidity. it always feels like im riding through a swimming pool. it took me about 15 miles before i found my legs. about the time i did though, i started getting a headache. i went to bed early (for me) last night, but woke up with the same headache. that usually doesnt happen. i found out why when i checked the weather. new york is once again under an air quality alert. high levels of ground level ozone. bad enough that its hot. in san francisco when the air was really bad, id get half dollar sized lumps on the back of my neck and upper back as my body tried to concentrate and break all the pollution down. just headaches so far in nyc.

job listings have been shit this week, and im going through one of my down phases as a result. my moods have been cyclical, rising and falling based on the quality of job postings and how much ive able to relax. put two holes in our cheap living room table, which are now patched.

given up on wow, going so far as to cancel my account. gave a lot of my stuff to my guild. might be back for cata, but im not sure. next mmo i play may very well be the old republic. ive been playing a hell of a lot of mass effect, and it just reminded me how much i love science fiction. my biggest problem with wow has always been that i didnt have a real interest in the lore. never been much of a fantasy guy.

anyway, more tdf coverage, more mass effect. trying not to go crazy. fuck the summer. second bad one in a row.
