Interview yesterday went well. Second interview with company president and VP on Monday.

My birthday is tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll treat myself to things that are bad for me but taste amazing: fried chicken, cider, and cinnamon whiskey. Rain is supposed to start again, so outdoor activities are not on the menu.

I'd like to think I write very well, but i imagine that isn't the case. ah well. I put these thoughts to words earlier this evening:

Youll never know I wrote this.

Im watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The first time i saw it was when i was in college. i was all of 20. i was with friends and you were at...

Well, I think I'm done with Portland. I haven't heard back about any of the couple dozen positions I've applied for, and very little is posted. Seems like the job market in Seattle is much healthier. The open positions I've seen better match my history (BA, five years experience). And honestly, Portland really isn't what I thought it was going to be when I moved...

Dear Seattle,

Fuck you. Fuck you to death.

You know why? Everything that I'm qualified for that pays any kind of reasonable money is either in Seattle or one its suburbs. And if my interview in Kent on Monday is any indication, people are very hesitant to give me a call about jobs because I'm in Portland. I'm not asking you to pay for...

You know what sucks? Phone interviews. 5-10 minutes, really basic questions, trying to sound confident and not say 'uh' or 'um' too much. And no real idea how they go since you can't see body language.

On the bright side, I've been jobless for all of four days, applied for something like 13-15 positions, and my phone is already ringing. I really want this to...

Out of a job again. Doesn't seem to matter how hard or well I work. I said what I thought and didn't get along with the right people. A contact at my primary client, which was one of the largest clients in the department, has already agreed to serve as a professional reference.

Fuck.

Fuck.

Fuck.

This is just beautiful:

Amazing Driving in SF

i love and hate this video at the same time. Only two places I've ever been homesick for: Wyoming and San Francisco. I know why I left the former, but I'm still baffled about the latter. New York ended up sucking, though I guess it was a chance I had to take. I'll move back to SF...

I had a staring contest with a squirrel tonight. I'm not sure who won.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Squirrels grew as big as cats on Michigan State's campus, and I've like them well before then. Always thought they were funny creatures. Did you know that squirrels will pretend they're digging and hiding nuts without actually doing so if they thing they're being watched? And that...

Doing better. Honestly, in spite of all the stupid bullshit that continues to go on at work, I've been in my greatest sustained good mood the last couple of weeks in a long time.

Swore, after four years playing WoW, that I'd never play another MMO. Because of one of my new roommates I got sucked into The Old Republic. Yes, the questing is, at...

How do you hold still, have patience, when every inch of you wants to move, even if the moves are reckless?

Work and home aren't so hospitable anymore.
