The older I get the more perceptive I am to the flaws in my parents relationship. Its not rocket science; married couples are supposed to love, communicate, share, compromise the list is endless.
When I look at my parents, I see the remnants of what was once a great relationship. Now, all that is left is silence. And a lot of resentment.
Im no great expert when it comes to the mysteries of love but I know what a relationship shouldnt be. And their relationship just shouldnt be.
I wish theyd divorce; find people worth their time - people who wont remember past mistakes and will try their hardest to make them happy as opposed to just giving in because theres no fight left in them.
Giving in leads to resentment. I can see it. The resentment is more potent than their love for each other.
