I'm BACK... for now.

Trying to visit all my peeps here... comment on journals and such... but things have been TORNADO-like since I got back from DC... Work wise, I'm a mess... scattered over three productions, two film acquisitions, and a weirdo A&R initiative.

ANYWAY, the DC film festival was a success... No, we didn't win it, BUT we had a shockingly full house.

We usually try to arrive a couple of days in advance to canvas the area, get some press etc... but both our schedules didn't allow for the extra time. We rolled into DC the NIGHT of the screening and expected (despite the efforts we made in advance) that we'd have maybe 10 peeps in the audience (including us)... but, unbelievably, the place was about 90% full.

Good reactions from the crowd... good q&a session w/a ton of people... it was a good night for us in DC.

The rest of the weekend, we spent checking out the city... not a bad town, but not quite my speed... the big AC Basketball tournament was in town which flooded the areas w/no-neck, baseball cap wearin', khaki sportin', bad-bar-band havin, yahoos...
