LA...I'm backkkkk!!

The drive was long but I am SO happy to be back in Los Angeles! Back to the ocean (one you don't have to wear a winter coat to), back in the sun and out of the Humboldt County fog. The boy is happy to have me back. He picked out an amazing Love Nest by the Beach for us. The dogs love it. Since we don't have a backyard we have to go for several walks a day. They are not so used to the leash, and have a bad case of...little dog leash aggression. Unfortunately, this does not make our walks the most pleasent. We are working on this, but I'm sure I'll be looking for a trainer STAT.
Since I've been back...

I'm ready for all the shows LA can throw at me!! Really looking forward to The National and M83!! Last night I saw Kisses at The Troubadour after having a Veggie Burger at Rounds Premium Burgers in West Hollywood:

Looks good right?? tasted pretty good too! Then I spent the entire show listening to Kisses rotating from the yack-room bathroom to outside for fresh air. I've never gotten sick from a veggie burger before, I'm sure it doesn't happen often. Something went really wrong. Not bad mouthing them, it can happen anywhere. Anyway, the show sounded good....

I left my most favorite bartending job ever back in Humboldt. They had a great going away thang for me, gave me the tiniest, cutest, little goodbye gift, and a couple framed pictures of the crew. (small teardrop)

I was bartending in an old, historic hotel with many quarks and supposedly a couple ghosts. I found this creepy little doll and started a fun mini-series of her around the hotel:





Now that I'm back in LA, somewhere wayyy down the road I can visit Humboldt and appreciate it a lot more. It is a magical land of untamed wildness. From the ocean, to the rivers, the Redwood forests, the animals...and the people...
In Humboldt it's not strange to see a man walking his pet turkeys through town, in a cage...



You can go for midnight veggie runs while trimming weed for a living and sleeping in Yurts...

And on break time just relax...

Aside from my teeny-tiny greeting cards, which I can't seem to find any pictures of right now , I've been really into making air plant arrangements:

I found Heaven at the nation's first Vapor Bar in Westwood!! Amazing! Vap-tenders lay out different flavors, batteries and atomizers on napkins and give you a little glass of water to clear your palate in between tastings!

I'll update more frequently now that I'm back, happy, active in the sun instead of freezing inside, oh yeah, and HAPPY!
