i have been disinterested in this site for a while, but just logged in for old times sake today and saw Buttercup for the first time. I saw the little photo of her eating a melon on the home page and I knew she would be vegan. the fact that she is amazingly beautiful and my age makes her even more of a goddess in my eyes. swooning... all you millions of people who read this should check her out
i have been on the west coast photographing people and animals for farm sanctuary in celebration of the states ban of foie gras. arnold signed it into legislation! for those who don't know, foie gras is a ducks liver, or a goose. the modern practice is to force feed the birds twice a day by shoving a metal tube down their throats so they can't regurgitate. their livers grow to 10 times the normal size. the world is an infinitely sick place at times.
but anyway, i got to photograph corey feldman and persia white and noah wiley, among others. this was at the house of blues in LA. if those names don't mean anything to you that is ok, as i never watch tv and only know them because they are vegetarian animal activists who speak out for animals.
a few days later was a celebration for the turkeys at farm sanctuary's shelter in Orland, CA. that was nice, even though the wind was going nuts. i got chased by some kind of sagebrush blowing down the road, but luckily i evaded capture.
after a brief visit to friends in san fran as well as the herbivore restaurant i flew up to portland for a week to visit my friend scott. we hacked the macs and played some music and hit otsu and food fight. there was good food, the daily grind has so many vegan baked goods and these amazing peanut butter balls. vita cafe was the best restaurant i tried.
so now back on the east coast and going back to work on my veganica web site. we are going to be adding blogs and then i will probably quit posting here. i love it and all but i have to put my creative juices into my own thing.
unless of course buttercup asks me to stay (blush)
