ya know, it really sucks that so many people try to find happiness from other people. in my experience this never works. maybe in some temporary form it can be fulfilling but i think ultimately you have to make yourself happy. this is extra true in relationships where people get so tied up in expectations from the other person. i think if people spent more time giving of themselves and less time making sure they were getting everything they wanted they would find they actually received more in the end. o.k...*soapbox goes back in closet*

its part of the whole diy attitude that i love so much. theres an inherent now or never dynamic. there isnt always a tomorow. make sure you say what you want to say today. to quote nick cave, 'say something, express yourself, say something loudly'. likewise, in the past years, i have been much more free in my expression (social, musical, sexual) and have been much happier because of it.

I almost put Amadeus as one of my favorites. It's a good movie. I own it. Have you seen Shine? About another fucked up musician. Pretty cool. Quite a bit different though.
