On my trip up the mountain I found a Cactus Mouse!

this place is, no kidding, 25-30 mins from my house. The drive amounts to about a 4500' rise in elevation (only halfway up the mountain). The drive up is gorgeous because you start with just rock and Cacti, and progress to pockets of snow and coniferous vegetation. The views at the different "Vista's" are incredible and pictures can NOT do it justice. There are rocks that look like faces everywhere and you can't help but wonder how some of these rocks end up teetering where they do. Tucson's not the greatest city in the world; but there's great places to drink, a surprisingly delicious variety of restaurant's, and it's own personal beauty. I suggest if you have a chance, VISIT!
