Sad but good news. Mikey Richter the Dog (whose real name I discovered today is Pete), went home to his family today. When I was driving to Carl's Jr. this morning, I notice some flyers posted near the stoplight. It was a picture of a small white dog that looked like Mikey so I investigated. Sure enough, it was a picture of Mikey; a small paragraph explaining that he'd inadvertently gotten out of his owner's backyard and that they were hopeful of his return. I called the owners and explained how I found him in traffic without a collar....they explained he knew he was about to have a bath (which he hates), because they took his collar off. He ran through the doggie door and they had forgot the garage door was open. They expected him to come back in assuming the garage was closed, but by the time they went to look for him it was too late. In any event, I'm happy and sad at the same time as I'm sure you can imagine. The owners (a young couple), were so happy to get him back and were so thankful that I took good care of him. Mikey said thank you, that he loved me, and was most grateful that he got his 15 minutes of fame on Suicide Girls website. He wanted me to tell you he loves all of you, too......
