New York.
It feels weird to visit a place and just have a feeling that is where you belong. That is what it was like visiting NY for the first time. I have been all over the world, but have stayed clear from this city based on the fact that people have told me NY is where I belong. I felt complete. Now it's just a question of when do I move.
Summary...
Stayed in Manhattan, kicked it in the Lower East Side, SOHO, and the Village a lot, but there is nothing like spending the day in Central Park.
Music.
Saw Stephen Malkamus and Yo La Tengo in Battery Park on the 4th.
Saw Blockhead w/ DJ Signify amd Bonobo.
Art.
PS1, MOMA, MET, Gugenhiem.
PS1 is probably one of the tightest art museums I have ever been to. An old high school converted into a contemporary art center in Queens, with amazing art.
MOMA has to be the best art museum I have been to, but it is way to overwhelming and has to be enjoyed over a few visits.
Food.
oh my god.
"As I walk through the city, my headphones don't leave my ears and Mum, Bjork, Magnetic Fields, Velvet Underground, Modest Mouse feed my palate for the surroundings"
