I don't think I'm wrong when I imagine you in Japan at the ESP booth making eyes wide enough to stir Marty Feldman. I'm glad a great time was had.

Happy Burns Night.

oh hai! Long time no speak, dear readers! I's been a bit busy again. The life of an offshore metering tech is never dull!

Actually, when the clients kit breaks and you've got to spend 8 days playing Dawn of War and CoD: MW1/browsing a heavily filtered internet and that's it, it does get a bit dull!

Anyway - how's things? Hope you're all well....

I've got a new hobby as well, started the training for mixed martial arts way back in July which is great fun but I've finally had the planets line up so I could attend a Kettlebell workshop. The guy running the workshops is one of the instructors of the main MMA stuff as well so it wasn't completely unfamiliar stuff as...

that's the very car I'm grabbing, suitably stealthy considering what it actually is and what it can do! Glad there are some very nice roads around where I stay!

Best of luck with becoming a full member of the SG family - you've definitely got the potential! smile

So, I'm looking for a new car.

Gotta be Jap, under 5k, reasonably sized boot and built like a tank. (RE: Previous Blog Post - must be able to withstand a white van trying to climb into the passenger seat)

Nothing less than a 1800CC will do, 4WD/RWD. 100,000miles maximum on the Odometer and a max of 15 years old (1994 / L Plate.)

Suggestions?...

I'm currently contemplating how lucky I am to be alive.

I was involved in a Road Traffic Accident yesterday morning when a van coming in the opposite direction came round a corner, lost control, fishtailed, came across the lines to my side of the road where we collided. Hitting the Van caused me to come to a complete stop from 40mph, straightened the Van out...

Jealous of my friend Gary; went over to Canada to visit one of his friends and ended up going to see Tool live.

Bastard.

lockeblade:
Asshole! Last time Tool played a solo show in my neck of the woods was 2001-2002. They came here and played a festival in '07 and promised on stage they'd be back later that year for a solo tour... and never came. Kick Gary in the junk for me.
imprinted:
Come Christmas time we can give him a dual kick in the stones; that'll teach him! biggrin

okay, been a bit busy recently and I'm away offshore again on Wednesday for another 2-3 weeks of joy in the middle of the north sea. Have I missed anything interesting?

I'm going to be spending Christmas in Tokyo - can't wait! Hopefully gonna be getting a new guitar whilst I'm over there. Really need to buy a new cab for my amp too!

Tokyo for Christmas!
Wow I'm super jealous, thats sounds so wicked!
imprinted:
Certainly is, been a few times before and couldn't think of anywhere better to actually go for Christmas - no real reason to confine myself to spending time with the extended family when I see them often enough as it is! tongue

incidentally - all plans for buying a new guitar when I'm over there are off as I've just picked up a new toy. Pictures will be up when I receive it! love

Fuck Car Insurance.

Just had to pay an extra 100 above what I had to pay for getting a speeding fine with fixed penalty points and my premiums will probably go up next year. Fuckers. mad
tabby:
aww that sucks!

im pissed too, i just got my damn car tax or whatever this bullshit is that Conneticut residents have to put up with for about $105...no good, especially since im just now starting my summer job(with shitty hours and pay) and have nothing saved up.thank god for parents!lol smile i just dont see why i have to pay more on something i already own and paid taxes for when i bought the damn thingtongue whatevvva lol

I has another new toy. The MXR Carbon Copy - it's an analogue delay pedal and I think I'm going to have a lot of fun making strange noises.

I still hate my job, will give it until the end of the year and then I'll see if I can get something a bit better. I can't stand my boss, they keep fucking me about...

A friend of mine has raised a point - why are we still calling it swine flu when there are some far better names to go round such as;

THE APORKALYPSE

PARMAGEDDON

and

BACON FEVER.

I want to form a swine flu tribute band with one of these names. oink
linds_:
Ooh ooh ooh! Can I be back-up oinker?
