tis time, y'all, to clear out a few cobwebs
make a few plans
pluck my tailfeathers
and get on down.
THE PAST FEW DAYS:
arriving in nj, where i still ended up keeping in touch with allayall, albeit this time with the atlantic ocean staring at me portside of my daddy's new house. first time the entirety of my six-member tribe to be gathered in the same place for many, many years.
my father lives in the southernmost tip of the jersey shore, on a barrier reef island. driving me there, he tells me that the last earthquake we had here in CA, if it happened in la, would have totally crushed this city.
i alerted him that if a few enterprising souls were to strategically place bombs alongside the gaslines situated in the subway catacombs of manhattan, that city would disappear very quickly.
then he mentions his own precarious position. a barrier reef island, you see, rarely stays stable over time. it's in the direct line of fire from mama nature's onslaughts. he tells me if a class 5 hurricane with a 50-ft. storm surge were to hit the island of avalon where he lives, the whole town would be done for.
i think of black rock city, dust storms and 75 mph winds. i think of us all, living in the world we do.
somebody must like us a LOT not to just destroy us right away...
so not much really happened back east...
i spend far too little time with my sissie-poo. and the trip was bookended with two of the most miserable experiences i have ever had in transit. if you have any excruciating horrorshow experiences of security, and watching the fences get bigger and bigger as our centurions fan out across the world, share them with me.
BUT NOW I'M BACK
and i consider next year.
as i intend to go vegan (i already pretty much am, tho the real commitment will start to sink in very soon, as i start to research alternatives to meat and dairy. goodbye, ice cream... it was nice knowing you. )
so hear me out on this:
hope, ye crazee kiddie-poos, that we unroot the shrub and send him packing back to crawford. maybe a trip to camp x-ray might be nice, just to see the hatred and contempt he's spreading in our name, but that's asking a bit much, i know.
cultivate love in your hearts.
and live in/act with kindness.
(even when the asshole in front of you didn't even bother to tie his mattress down before getting on the hollywood freeway and you almost crash trying to avoid it. after all, that might be sean penn's agent or something. )
our survival depends on it.
after all, you never know when that storm is going to hit...
love and light.
