The latest reports from the UK claim that Russia has deployed around 97% of it's military to the illegal, horrific invasion of Ukraine (I'm paraphrasing). If this figure is even in the vicinity of being correct, it could be great news for the people of Ukraine (and Russia). I'm no brilliant military tactician, but if the overwhelming majority of Russia's army is currently already in Ukraine, combined with other reports that the Russians are floundering, it's simple math. I hate to put it that way, because "simple math," is a flippant way to refer to the brutal loss of life on both sides, but it is still reason to hope. The Russian troops on the ground seem to have lost the will to fight, if they ever had it to begin with. I have long thought that the real might of the US military, despite the billions upon billions of dollars spent on it every year, is the fighting spirit of the individual soldier. It's something Russia lacks, and Ukraine has an abundance of. While I'm sure Putin still has more jaw-droppingly brazen and horrific war crimes up his sleeve before this is over, the end might be in sight.
слава Україні!!!
