I discovered a new personal hell today. Trying to explain to my 70 year old mother, over the phone, the distinct differences between certain types of animé, without actually being a fan myself. She's looking for a birthday gift for my niece.

@adam_bovary ugh. 30 minutes. 30... freaking... minutes, trying to explain something I don't fully understand, myself. Every couple minutes, asking why she doesn't just call my sister to see what, specifically, my niece is into... 🤦‍♂️
