Announcing the 2009 VEGAS SLAM!
The 2008-09 Vegas Slam season begins on September 9
at Rejavanate.
Hosted and Coordinated once again by Kari O'Connor, with
Jorge Lara,
the Executive Director of the Las Vegas Poets Organization serving as
this year's Slammaster.
The MM&D Poetry reading will be featuring the first date
of the Vegas Slam season.
Ongoing Slams will be every first Tuesday of each month
there after.
National Poetry Slam is the largest team performance poetry event in the world. Teams from all over North America, and a few from other places converge in a different city every summer for five days of poetry, revelry and competition.
Come join us and help choose the poets that will be representing
Las Vegas next year at nationals.
Free Admission.
There will be a $3.00 entry
fee to compete. (Come early if you want to register to compete)
Guest Judges will be picked from the audience.
