I've read all of Stephenson's books, and I'm currently waist deep in Quicksilver, which is phenomenal. As for recommendations, if you haven't read Dick, you should. Or Stanislaw Lem. Or Robert Heinlein. I'm assuming you've read William Gibson's Neuromancer...
